General overview of our volunteer roles and opportunities:

Tower Gift Shop volunteers are needed throughout the season. The role is basic retail sales with limited bending and lifting. Volunteering in the tower gift shop is an enjoyable experience for all ages. You’ll enjoy meeting people from throughout the state and beyond.

Shifts available are 10:00am -1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Friends of Heublein Tower typically host 2 large events on site, Hike to the Mic and Tower Toot.

Volunteer support is needed for many varying tasks from ticket sales to grilling!

Tower entry is limited to 75 people. Volunteers are need occasionally to manage entry. Both during busy weekends and Friends of Heublein Tower events.

Looking for experienced grant writers to help us select and write grant proposals for the restoration projects in our master plan.

Volunteer photographers are needed for random projects throughout the season and during our 2 signature events. All volunteer photographers will be required to sign standard copyright release forms.

This fun day entails cleaning the Tower from top to bottom! You’ll never complain about cleaning your own home after spending the day cleaning an actual Tower with 120 steps! Let’s just say we never forget the paper towels when we head to the top to clean windows!

More about Friends of Heublein Tower Volunteers:

Requirements:
A Friend of Heublein Tower volunteer simply requires a passion for the mission, friendly attitude and flexibility. Most roles require physical abilities of standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting and walking. However, we do have roles with less physical needs. Friends of Heublein Tower volunteers must abide by instructions of staff at all times and are expected to remain respectful and courteous at all times.

Private drive access:
Friends of Heublein Tower sponsors, vendors and volunteers must respect the strict protocol of no road access to Heublein Tower. In cooperation with the DEEP, there are exceptions made two times a year for our signature events. Road access will be granted only to all vetted and registered event volunteers for only the day and hours of the event. The gate is monitored by DEEP staff and during any events, a gate keeper is on duty with an approved vehicle list. No exceptions will be made. Road access for individual volunteers on specific shift assignments is arranged through your supervisor accordingly.
