The Friends of Heublein Tower are celebrating the opening of the Heublein Tower for the 2009 season on Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, May 23rd, we'll begin serving hotdogs, hamburgers and all the fixin's at 11am for a great cookout celebration. Coffee and donuts will be served earlier in the morning. Proceeds from the sale of food and gifts go towards Tower renovation and restoration work.
The gift shop is open - come check out the new merchandise for sale.
For even more fun, we'll also have a guest appearance by the Avon High School Uberbots robotics team in the afternoon. See a demonstration of the competition-winning robot built by this team of dedicated high school students.
Rain date is Sunday, May 24th.
